Welcome to Makesite.ai ("Makesite", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using our service you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Makesite is an AI-powered website builder. We generate, host, and maintain a website for your business based on the information you provide. Sites are published on a Makesite subdomain by default; paid plans support custom domains.

2. Subscriptions and billing

Plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. New customers receive 50% off the first month automatically. After the first month, your card is charged the full plan price each month until you cancel. Prices are in GBP and exclude VAT where applicable.

3. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel any time from your dashboard's billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep access until then. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid month: if you're not happy, email supportmakesite@gmail.com within 14 days of your first charge for a full refund.

4. Your content

You own the content you provide and the generated website built for your business. You grant us a licence to host, display, and process it solely to operate the service. You're responsible for ensuring the content you submit doesn't infringe third-party rights or break the law.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Makesite to publish illegal, fraudulent, hateful, sexually explicit, or malware-laden content, or to impersonate others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this clause without refund.

6. Availability

We target high uptime but don't guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages, or your DNS configuration can affect availability.

7. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us in that period.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised terms.
